- Season Starts: September 1
- Scrimmages Begin: Late October
- First Official Bout: Between November–January, depending on team readiness
Levels of Play
We will offer three levels of play to meet skaters at their development stage and competitive goals:
Travel Team (A Team)
- Generally for ages 12 and up
- Focused on competitive gameplay traveling around the west coast
- Goal of qualifying for JRDA Championships in the OPEN division
- If enough interest, we may try to enter in both the Open (coed) and Female divisions
Developmental Team (B Team)
- For skaters 10+ working toward full contact and advanced gameplay
- Focused on gaining experience through scrimmages and regional competition
- Will play regionally in Southern California and may travel as far as Arizona
Littles Junior Derby (Ages 6–10)
- Although derby is generally geared toward ages 10+, we believe there’s a lot of fun derby to be had at the 6–10 age range including skating, practices, and game
- Depending on participation, we may form in-house teams, explore regional travel, and schedule fun scrimmages to introduce younger skaters to the sport.
