Adult Roller Derby
A fast-paced, confidence-building sport for skaters ages 18+
Open to all genders ages 18 and up, this high-energy practice offers a great workout while building derby skills through skating, derby drills, and scrimmage scenarios.
Who Can Join
Open to all genders ages 18 and up.
- Must have passed Level 3 of Skate Academy + Fundamentals of Roller Derby OR pass a skills test to participate.
Schedule & Pricing
Practice Times
Tuesdays: Power Skating 6:15–7:15pm
Cost: $15 when you register online in advance, $20 at the door.
Sundays: Practice most Sundays 9-11am. Check schedule below to confirm.
Cost: $10 online in advance, $15 at the door.
Equipment & Gear
All skaters must wear the following protective equipment at every practice and game:
- Helmet
- Knee pads
- Elbow pads
- Wrist guards
- Mouthguard
- Quad roller skates
Gear can also be purchased at Fritzy’s Roller Skate Shop.
Season Overview
- Tryouts: Dec 14th
- Season Starts: January 2026
- Practices: Sunday Mornings 8-10am

Levels of Play
We will offer three levels of play to meet skaters at their development stage and competitive goals:
Travel A Team
A focused class for newer or returning skaters to fine-tune the skills required to be a safe and effective derby player. We emphasize core strength, body positioning, transitions, stops, skating in tight spaces, quick movements, and building confident muscle memory for gameplay scenarios.
Prerequisites:
Completion of Skate Academy Level 3,
OR
Approval based on prior experience (case-by-case review)
Travel B Team
Depending on participation, we may form in-house teams, explore regional travel, and schedule fun scrimmages to introduce younger skaters to the sport.
Local Skaters
For skaters ages 10 and up working toward full contact and advanced gameplay.
Focused on gaining experience through scrimmages and regional competition.
Will play regionally in Southern California and may travel as far as Arizona.
